2030 corporate business opportunities

Challenge
An executive leadership team of a company in a highly regulated industry wanted to identify transformative new business category opportunities to kick off a strategic review. They asked Plan to open their eyes to the consumer landscape of 2030 and identify high-level business opportunity areas to initiate workstreams around.

Approach
We began by carefully framing where to focus to address the broad scope of the challenge. Working with thought-leading domain experts, we identified pertinent lifestyle, retail, and technology trends. We then produced a three-day workshop that included high-profile speakers, trends presentations, and technology demos. The resulting business opportunities were then developed into product opportunities in a follow-up ideation workshop we were asked to lead.
