Challenge

The Front-end innovation team had been asked by the board to play a more proactive and strategic role in the organisation, helping it to become more centred on health outcomes and user experience. Plan was asked to help the team develop a more ambitious team strategy and identify the capabilities and workstreams needed to deliver it.

Approach

The process pivoted around two workshops led by Plan. The first focused on defining the dimensions and character of the desired change, and concluded with generating a range of ambition statements. The second workshop began with aligning around the ambition and then fleshing this out into an Internal team value proposition to the organisation, and the values and new relationships and capabilities needed to deliver it. Plan then developed a concise and compelling deck to communicate the plan to the board, which was enthusiastically received.
